In 2024, Brydon and Ashley tied the knot, and instead of a traditional wedding, they threw a full-blown motorcycle campout–themed reception. They invited 100 of their closest friends and family to the Hillbilly Hideout, just south of Spruce View, Alberta, and hosted an all-American bash that set the tone for everything to come.

Ashley grew up riding with Gord, the owner of the Hideout, and knew instantly that it was the only place this kind of celebration could happen.

Picture it: a pig roast, bike games, a full weekend of camping, bonfires burning late into the night, and ’90s divorced-dad rock blasting in the background. Tattoos were flying, beers were flowing, and no one wanted the night, or the weekend, to end.

Community has always been at the heart of it all. Bringing people together, creating memories, and building something bigger than just an event is what matters most. For months after the wedding, it was all anyone talked about, everyone saying the same thing: “I wish we could do that all over again.”

So they did.

And that’s how the first annual High Class Dirtbagz Campout was born.

The Hillbilly Hideout is a one-of-a-kind venue built for a true backwoods getaway. The property features a stunning cook shack complete with a full kitchen, and a two-storey building with an upper deck strung with lights overlooking the fire pit and campground, the perfect place to soak in the weekend atmosphere.

The lower level offers two indoor bathrooms with showers and toilets, plus multiple porta-potties conveniently placed throughout the campground.

With over three acres of spread-out camping, there’s plenty of room to set up camp and make yourself at home. Please note: this is rustic camping there is no power or utilities at individual sites.

Nestled deep in the woods, the Hideout delivers an authentic outdoorsy, country feel. For those looking to cool off, a river is just a five-minute ride away, perfect for a refreshing swim.

Vehicle parking is very limited. If you choose to bring a vehicle, you’re encouraged to come prepared with standard camping gear. RVs and trailers are not permitted.

At High Class Dirtbagz, it’s all about bringing people together for a wild, unforgettable weekend packed with good times, chaos, and community.

Friday is all about settling in. When you arrive, you’ll choose your camping spot on a first-come, first-served basis, set up camp, crack a cold one, and ease into the weekend. This is a BYOB event, so bring what you love. The evening is focused on mingling, reconnecting, meeting new faces, and soaking up the atmosphere with a few surprise elements to kick things off.

Saturday starts slow, because… balance. Enjoy a laid-back morning before the madness begins. The afternoon heats up with bike games, a slip-and-slide, mud wrestling, and a full lineup of rowdy activities designed to keep the energy high and the laughs loud.

As the sun goes down, things get next level. DJ Donnie Brasco takes over for our own twisted version of Burning Man  Mad Max style. Think Five Finger Death Punch music video vibes… but deep in the woods.
